Job Vacancy Position: Township Coordinator Duty Station: Specified Township for Cesvi Shaethot program ( Magway Region, Mandalay Region or Sagaing Region in Dry Zone ) Duration of Assignment: renewable to the satisfactory performance and project requirement. CESVI is a non religious, nonprofit International NGO delivering humanitarian and development work in Livelihood, Food Security, Agriculture, Water and Sanitation, Solid Waste Management, Health and Community Development in Mandalay Region, Magway Region, Sagaing Region, Yangon Region, Kachin State and Northern Shan State. Position Summary The Township coordinator is responsible to promote the coordination of all project activities on village tracts and township level, to support and follow up the implementation of agricultural activities in the target villages, ensuring a consistent and strong advisory role for the project staff. The township coordinator works closely and reports directly to the Livelihood coordinator, granting regularly comprehensive reporting documents and informs project team/project management about ongoing activities and future planning. Essential duties and responsibilities Overall responsibilities: o Promote the coordination and support to all project activities on township and village tract level, ensuring application of project guidelines and procedure as well as Cesvi Country procedures at field level; Supervise, follow up and backstop all the project staff directly involved in field activities, granting good report collection, transparency and accountability of the actions. Maintain regular contact with official institutions engaged in agricultural activities in the area and inform representatives on the state of agricultural activities in the project. Assure regular contact and information transmission to local authorities, to village tract leader and village leaders concerning the project activities and their work plans.

Specific responsibilities: o To be directly responsible for the supervision and implementation of project work plans by the project teams at township and village level, in full adherence to the logical framework and in due respect of the implementation schedule for the planned work plan; Assist Livelihood Coordinator in tracking/monitoring day-to-day progress against project milestones and activities, against individual staff work plans and against overall project objectives; Undertaking field visits on a regular basis and duly report on findings and develop strategies for damage control and improvement in necessary in consultation with the Livelihood Coordinator Establish monthly plans and prepare written monthly reports detailing progress, activities and issues to be provided as input to the Livelihood Coordinator for overall project activities; Design and implement a monitoring and evaluation system to ensure follow-up and quality of the different project activities; To supervise the documentation filing according to monitoring needs listed in the logical framework (OVIs and monitor tools), ensure maintenance of databases and reference materials; Ensure a close coordination and transparency in the selection of target groups and beneficiaries CESVI MYANMAR Country Office No. 111-A University Avenue, Kamayut Township - Yangon. Facilitate effective communication and coordination among the teams and the Livelihood Coordinator, as well as with local authorities at field and township level. To perform any other assignment given to him by the Livelihood Coordinator;
Qualification and experience: o o o o o o o Applicants should have a Bachelor Degree or Master possibly in Agricultural or related studies; At least 4 years of experience in food security or agricultural related project and a background in community rural livelihood activities: Experience in Team management, supervisory role and excellent planning and reporting skills Fluency in spoken and written English and Excellent Computer skills Previous International NGO work will be considered a strong advantage for the position: Good practical management skills and experiences, good communications skills; Ability to work under pressure, good team working and team building skills; Conditions: Travel expenses will be covered for work purposes.
