Job Vacancy Position: Project Assistant Possible Duty Station: 1 Post Salin Township-Magway Region Duration of Assignment: renewable to the satisfactory performance and project requirement.
CESVI is a non religious, nonprofit International NGO delivering humanitarian and development work in Livelihood, Food Security, Agriculture, Water and Sanitation, Solid Waste Management, Health and Community Development in Mandalay Region, Magway Region, Sagaing Region, Yangon Region, Kachin State and Northern Shan State. Position Summary The Project Assistant is responsible to facilitate implementation of the project activities in focal Township under the direct supervision of Project Coordinator. Responsibilities o o o o o o o o o Support the local coordinator and other field staff in the start up of project activities Participate in project initial assessment and community mobilization Organize community meeting and stimulate community communication Reporting about project activities with detailed records of type of activities, attendance and all supporting documentations. Organize and supervise the work of community development officers Facilitate sharing of experiences within the community/self help groups Facilitate learning processes in groups trough participatory methodologies and visual sharing Facilitate group dynamic processes, participation and integration of all stakeholders Provide weekly summary of activities to the project manager and technical heads.
Qualification and experiences o Applicants should have bachelor Degree preferred in social science, rural development or related subjects; o Previous field experience in project management, preferably rural background in livelihood activities would be definitely an advantage ; o Familiarity with participatory techniques o Fluent in English written and oral o Good practical management skills and experiences, good communications and cooperation skills; o Ability to work under pressure and adapt to the situation as might be required due to changes on the ground or other agreed directions; o Good team working skills and team building capacity; o Emphasis will be given to personal qualities of enthusiasms and commitment to the project works. The person should be tolerant to work and live in accordance with the project activities in the target villages. Conditions: Travel expenses will be covered for work purposes.
