Description
SharePoint is looking for an experienced security engineer to improve our ability to detect and respond to network intrusions. You will join the security team responsible for SharePoint Online, the premier web application in Office 365.
In this role, you will:
• Simulate real-world attacks through manual and automated testing
• Work with the monitoring team to improve detection coverage and fidelity
• Do independent research to discover new vulnerabilities and attack techniques
• Apply your expertise to improve incident response, containment, and recovery procedures
• Work across the organization to improve the security of SharePoint Online
Desired skills:
• Extensive experience performing Windows network penetration testing
• Strong fundamental understanding of security best practices and attack and defense techniques for Windows networks
• Familiarity with C#, PowerShell, or similar tools development/scripting languages.
Candidates must be able to meet customer security screening requirements as indicated for this role. Customer screening requirements may include additional items such as, but not limited to: specialized agency background checks (either national or local) and fingerprinting. All employees hired into roles supporting Cloud Offerings will also be required to pass Microsoft background checks prior to the start of employment and every two years thereafter.
