The Microsoft Corporate Developer and Platform Evangelism (DPE) group offers an opportunity for a technical leader to maximize his/her impact on Microsoft’s success.
You are someone with a strong background in application development, and plentiful ideas about what we need to do to change developers’ perceptions of Microsoft among all customers. You’re a natural communicator who is already well-known and respected in the developer community. You have boundless energy and enthusiasm, and you’re ready to take on a developer audience and win them over using well-honed skills of persuasion. You are known for the excellence and precision of your work, and for your eye for quality and good design. You’re someone who thrives on autonomy and a freedom to set your own goals and direction, but you’re able to inspire others to collaborate with you to execute on that mission. You’re as comfortable talking with a senior business decision maker as you are with a developer or architect.
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of the latest platform innovations in the company, working closely with senior leaders across engineering groups to build a strategy to accelerate adoption of our tools and platform. You’ll work with global brands and startups alike to create killer experiences, leading the creation of compelling and memorable content and demos for events like //Build or Tech ED, arming our global field evangelism team to be successful, and gathering customer feedback that can help shape future products.

Specific Responsibilities include:
Being a public ambassador for Windows, Windows Phone and XBOX One application development, creating and delivering compelling demos, technical content and presentations for Microsoft and third-party events
Creating showcase design wins and keynote demos that demonstrate the value of the Microsoft platform
Working with key influencers to build technical communities and amplify our message
Preparing the Microsoft worldwide field to carry your message to their local customers and partners
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or related software engineering discipline
At least three years’ experience as a senior developer using web technologies and frameworks
Demonstrated leadership in the developer community (e.g. authoring books, public speaking, code contributions)
Additional Qualifications
Deep technical background and development experience with HTML5, JavaScript and open standards technologies and frameworks
A strong set of connections with industry leaders and influencers in the web design and development worlds
Keen analytical skills enabling comprehension and development of complex business and technical issues
A methodical and organized working style; demonstrated ability to manage multiple opportunities and projects concurrently with
