The online service components you build will be accessed by hundreds of millions of consumers across the globe. Speech recognition is a horizontal platform that is essential to all the major consumer experiences Microsoft is building as part of the next wave of transformational products.
The Recognition Services team within this division is looking for a strong developer with a proven track record to help build the next generation of cloud-based services that will provide speech recognition and speech synthesis functionalities to power natural user interface based applications. These services need to be designed for scalability, availability, and manageability. You are someone who takes pride in the quality of his work and wants to get to the bottom of each issue faced by the customers.
In this position you will deliver technical design and implementation of key features that will handle speech recognition requests at high-scale, refine implementation based on operational performance, as well as help debug any production issues. You will collaborate with senior technical leaders in the team on larger architectural efforts. You will receive broad exposure to web application development in a high-scale, high-energy team that will be moving as fast as possible to deliver innovative, industry-leading features.
The skills and experiences required for this position:
3-5 years of engineering experience owning feature design, development, releasing and sustaining
Experience building online services for consumers at scale is highly desired
Solid programming skills in C/C++ or C#
Demonstrated architectural skills in a production service
Strong platform/API design
Debugging and data analysis skills.
Experience in engineering methodologies, Unit testing, Test Driven Development, Agile Development.
Proven track record of shipping high-quality software on time
Great communication skills and experience managing cross-group projects.
BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
