The AMP team is tasked with building the next-generation Bing-powered apps with the aim of creating beautiful and useful experiences for new devices and driving innovation in touch and other natural user interfaces. We are a high-octane v1 team which shipped 7 beautiful apps on Windows 8.1 and 4 highly engaging apps on Windows Phone 8.
Within AMP, the App Common UX team is seeking a rock star UX Program Manager with a proven track record for creating awesome user experiences. You must be capable of thriving in a non-traditional rapid-paced engineering environment. The responsibilities of this position will vary across these major areas:
Guidelines and Best practices
Design Patterns and Controls
Prototyping and Planning
Responsibilities:
Define common design patterns across our apps, for Windows and Windows Phone
Help develop and convey framework guidelines, and principles for the engineering team
Think broadly about app experiences across multiple devices and operating systems
Provide exemplary project leadership in an exceptionally challenging and rewarding environment
Help champion a consumer first, design first culture that ultimately produces great scale consumer products
Institute processes as appropriate to ensure great execution with balanced agility
Work with other organizations to forge new partnerships that help contribute to our business
Basic Qualifications:
4+ years of technical industry experience with proven success on multiple products
A passion and desire for great User Experience - please send a portfolio of your work
Proven knowledge & experience in internet-related products and technologies
Experience working with complex UX & Engineering teams to ship/build top tier UX consumer products/experiences
Demonstrable creativity and strategic thinking and have high tolerance for ambiguity.
Strong verbal/written communication, influencing and organizational skills
Familiarity with touch interfaces (e.g. iPhone, iPad, Kindle Fire, Nook Tablet, and Android)
BS or advanced degree in Computer Science/HCI/Engineering desired
