Launched in June 2004, it is one of Canada’s leading online destinations reaching more than 13 million unique visitors each month.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of a portfolio of MSN online products creating the best online content and tools experience for Internet consumers and strategic partners.
Key responsibilities
The Product Manager will be the single point of contact for the key traffic management processes and will be responsible for four key areas:
Product Management
Coordinate with the MSN global product teams to support the global strategy of the online products.
On-going engagement on product roadmap.
Communicate business requirements and provide feedback to the development teams.
Work closely with Program Manager on feature request documentation and testing.
Ensure global features are localized to ensure relevancy for Canadians.
SEO evangelist for the product to ensure product pages are being picked up by major search engines.
Provide status updates and communicate product roadmap to key stakeholders.
Provide quality assurance and user acceptance testing for new functionality developed for the site.
Usage/competitors
Track key user engagement metrics (page views, unique visitors, time spent, growth trends, etc.) and develop strategies to grow them in market.
Track key competitors to ensure our products remain competitive in the industry.
Support marketing programs (product launch initiatives, marketing promotions and campaigns) and events (trade shows, conferences, and seminars).
Work with marketing to develop and update product tools including ROI/business case, sales guides, brochures, and presentations.
Revenue/Budget
Drive initiatives supporting online product strategy and revenue growth, including the development of monetizable campaigns.
Establish and track revenue goals against targets in collaboration with the sales team.
Support the sales team in identifying new revenue streams or advertising opportunities on the products.
Deliver product demonstrations internally and to key customers in partnership with sales.
Manage all communications to sales to maximize awareness and drive product demand.
Develop and implement programs to increase sales through training, marketing activities and promotions.
Support sales in the generation and presentation of customer proposals.
Manage local development budget for the online product as well as assisting product editorial team with local content budget decisions.
Customer & Partner Satisfaction
Work closely with local editorial team on product and content strategy to deliver the highest quality offering to our end users.
Strong client/partner management skills with a focus on ensuring efficient response times, problem solving, creative idea generation and looking for the best opportunities for the channel.
Review qualitative and quantitative end user and advertiser feedback and address top customer issues.
Analyze, document, and address key advertising customer and partner issues.
Key Accountabilities
Work with the global product team to support the global business strategy of product.
Product feature-set delivery.
Attainment of key performance indicators (KPI) for the product.
Sales support (training, regular calls).
Key Success Criteria
Meet key web traffic KPIs.
Revenue goals met for assigned online products.
Pricing and packages rolled out on time for sales cycle.
Communication to sales timely and relevant.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Qualifications
Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in product management or the online industry.
Minimum of a Bachelors Degree (preferably in Business); combined with Engineering and/or CompSci background preferred; MBA desired.
Passionate about technology and where it is going in the future.
Extensive knowledge of the Portal landscape in Canada
Strong Photoshop skills
Strong organization, project management, time management and timeline management skills, working independently and in groups.
Strong business management skills, including but not limited to business case development, forecasting & impact analysis.
Financial Modeling, Excel skills.
Knowledge of Internet measurement metrics including streams, page views, unique users, click-thrus and the ability to analyze and extrapolate information from such data.
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and able to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization as well as to external partners.
Highly motivated self-starter with passion for online technologies.
Strong decision-maker and problem solver.
The ability to thrive in a fast pace, multitasking environment.
Ability to be detail focused while maintaining a big picture mindset.
Ability to deal with ambiguity and frequently changing work environment.
Bilingual (English & French) an asset.
