Powering Waypoint and the Halo games, are a set of world-class, cutting-edge cloud services built to handle massive amounts of data, hundreds of millions of user transactions, billions of games played, trillions of player statistics.
We are looking for a very strong, experienced Program Manager who has a passion for dreaming up and building best-in-class services that are massively scalable, serviceable, reliable and extremely fast. This Program Manager must also demonstrate a true passion for creating great experiences that put the end-user at the center.
Our focus is on continuous improvement, constantly moving the ball forward. We ship Waypoint experiences multiple times a year, and services even more frequently. An appropriate candidate will have experience with agile environments and dealing with ambiguity.
We are looking for an exceptional Program Manager with a passion for creating best of breed online consumer experiences. In this position you will have the opportunity to contribute to and define the vision and strategy of Waypoint. You will work with a passionate and experienced internal team across multiple disciplines to craft new web-based and console experiences that meet the high standards of a Halo title. The ideal candidate will have deep familiarity and experience with web application design and development, Xbox application development, and be able to work across groups to deliver content.
You will also be responsible to track the product performance and incorporate data and customer feedback in subsequent scenarios.
Responsibilities:
- Own and drive the vision, scheduling and goal-setting for the project.
- Facilitate cross-group communication and coordination between development groups.
- Drive a team to own and execute on multiple initiatives across different work groups.
Position Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Producer or Program Manager (or equivalent) in the game industry.
- Web application development experience.
- Xbox application development experience.
- Experience developing and delivering consumer-focused experiences.
- Excellent cross-group collaboration and influence is a must.
- Strong cross-team communication skills: you can effectively communicate with people whether they are creative, technical, or anywhere in between. When conflicts occur, you work with your lead to resolve them quickly and efficiently.
- Proven ability to deliver results on a cross-disciplinary team.
- Ability to grasp customer/partner requirements and scenarios.
- Strong project management skills
- You create order from chaos: creating great entertainment experiences includes many ambiguous situations and conditions, and you’ll need to work with the project leads to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Exceptional organization skills: this role requires detailed and organized communication with clear, concise, and specific follow through on all action items resulting from meetings and/or directions from the production team.
- You have an upbeat and positive attitude, advanced interpersonal skills and you’re a great team player.
- A BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent job experience.
