GREEN ECONOMY (GE) ASSISTANT, WWF-MYANMAR
World Wide Fund for Nature -Greater Mekong – on the ground in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam – is working to conserve the region's biodiversity and build a secure and sustainable future for people and wildlife. WWF has a long history of engagement in the Greater Mekong. We helped establish conservation programmes in Thailand in the early 1980s, have been active in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam since 1990, and most recently established a presence in Myanmar in 2014. WWF-Myanmar is now inviting applications to fill for GE Assistant position in Yangon, Myanmar.
I. Major Function
The GE Assistant need to assist in all administrative matters for the GE team, liaises with finance managers, ensures smooth project management, supports organizational tasks and supports communication. He/she will:
  • assists in the development and implementation of the Myanmar GE strategy supports the GE policy team and policy manager in implementing the work programme via organizational, logistical and financial management support
II. Major Responsibilities
  • Supports the preparation of regular reports and information newsletters
  • Maintains and updates a knowledge management data-base Implements progressive monitoring and evaluation of project activities
  • Attend meetings, workshops, and trainings as authorized by his supervisor.
  • To feedback regular information to the supervisor to enable the preparation of project reports and plans in a timely manner
  • Supports the organization of field visits, donor and consultant visits
III. Required Qualifications & Knowledge:
  • Bachelor Degree in Business Management/Marketing, economics or development studies
  • At least 2 years work experience, preferably in business sector, chamber of commerce, development organization or conservation NGO.
IV. Required Skills and Competencies:
  • High level coordination and organization skills, ability to be self-organised and proactive
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Myanmar;
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
