Purpose of the Position The Director's Office in UNICEF Supply Division, Copenhagen is seeking two dedicated Statistics & Monitoring Assistants at the GS-6 level (post no. G0034 & 15810) Under the general supervision of the Data Analyst, the Statistics and Monitoring Assistants provide reliable and timely supply chain and performance data and analyse the global supply function, supporting Country and Regional offices, as well as Procurement Services Customers and Supply Division. Assist in the development, testing and implementation of business process improvements, supply chain dashboards and SAP upgrades. Key Expected Results - Provide required statutory statistics for the Director's Office, including Supply Division Annual reports and Quarterly reports, ensuring accuracy of the data, and creating the required tools for data validation. - Develop, standardize and improve reporting tools and models for data analysis, including tools for data-validation, monitoring and performance management. - Collaborate with the Knowledge Sharing and Solutions unit on supply data for external usage. - Design and test reports to be used to provide accurate and timely data for external and internal customers in close co-ordination with the Operational Analysis Technology Centre and users. - Prepare analysis on data collated to support activities like cost accounting, supply chain strengthening, market analysis. - Review, analyse and test all Supply Division's SAP reports. In collaboration with the Business Intelligence team in New York, test and review Dashboards based on reporting requirements from Supply Division ensuring accuracy of output and usefulness of the tools. - Prepare and maintain user manuals and documentation for the standard Supply Division reporting tools, including providing training to users as applicable, as well as for Field Office reports. - Participate in the development, testing and implementation of business process improvements. - Provide any other assistance as required by the supervisor. Qualifications of Successful Candidate EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE: - High School Diploma/A Levels is required. University course work or diploma in business, economics, financial management or related field desirable. - A minimum of 6 years work experience in public and or private sector with proficiency in use of data processing and systems and analysis. TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & LANGUAGES: - Fluency in English is required. - Super-user level of skill in MS Access and Excel is required. - Working knowledge of an ERP system is required, SAP is desirable.
