Project Research Physician with the Research Group of Perinatal Health under the Centre for Reproductive Health (Advertisement #398/13)

icddr,b invites applications from suitable candidates for the position ofProject Research Physician with the Research Group of Perinatal Health under the Centre for Reproductive Health. The appointment will be made on a Contractual Service Agreement (CSA) basis for 10 months, which may be extended for further period depending on satisfactory performance and availability of funds.

Duty Station –Dhaka.

Salary - Tk.33,570/-(Consolidated) per month inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances. No other benefit is admissible.

Job Profile:

• Work with supervisor in developing proposal and study protocol for submission to IRB, icddr,b;
• Conduct workshop with different stakeholders to identify a model of integrated maternal, neonatal and child health for the primary health care centres under the public health sector in Bangladesh
• Facilitate to review the literatures related with evidence-based interventions in perinatal health in Bangladesh;
• Prepare summary of findings, make draft report and work with supervisor in final report writing;
• Monitor, Identify and solve problems related to data collection and management of the study;
• Develop concept note.

Requirements

• MBBS degree from a Medical College recognized by Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council with completion of one year internship training;
• 01 year of experience in the relevant field;
• Knowledge on research methodology;
• Understanding the existing evidence based practices in perinatal health care;
• Computer proficiency in MS-Office and different data analysis software;
• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skill and gender sensitivity;
• Proficiency in writing English.
