Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of Sr. Programme Assistant (M&E) and the overall supervision of theHead of Programme Unit in Yangon, the incumbent will perform the following duties:
- Organize project planning missions, meetings and briefing sessions to identify and analyze problems and recommend project;
- Assess project performance including utilization of resources and achievement of plannedtargets;
- Manage/ upgrade and control centralized online M&E database system;
- Assist in the development of standardized formats (M&E forms) and procedures for projectoperations in consultation with relevant technical focal points;
- Prepare statistical tables regarding the project activities for monthly and quarterly progressreports;
- Assist to compile and validate data to be used analytical and reporting purposes;
- Support programme implementation through developing and analyzing databases for Distribution and Post Distribution Monitoring by project activities to the monitoring andevaluation aspects of the programme;
- Provide technical support for M&E database systems to sub offices and conduct databasetraining;
- Regular update of project information plans at online M&E database and Cooperation Partner monthly distribution report to COMPAS software of Logistic unit;
- Prepare reconciliation of actual food distribution with COMPAS unit by monthly basis;
- Perform any other appropriate duties as requested by the supervisor.
Qualification Education:
- The incumbent must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree.
- Supplemented by technical oruniversity courses in a field related to Information and Communication Technologies will be advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum four years of progressively responsible support or secretarial work experience includingat least two years of professional work experience in programme management, implementationand monitoring preferably in field related to WFP operations.
- At least one year at G4 level or Understanding of humanitarian approach and programme.
- Should have very goodmanagerial skills as well as leadership, teamwork abilities, analytical, negotiating.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Data capture, data analysis and Relational Database Management skill (Highlydesired),
- Strong knowledge of programming language Visual Basic, Active Server Page (ASP),
- Strong knowledge of statistical, conditional and text based functions, integration with MS SQLServer and MS Access database, Microsoft Office applications,
- Ability to create macros,
- Ability tocreate web sites,
Report generation;
Language:
Fluency in both oral and written in English and Myanmar.
Critical Success Factors:
- Ability to spell and write correctly in English; ability to maintain accurate and precise records and tointerpret and analyse a variety of data and resolve discrepancies.
- Ability to work accurately andsystematically; to identify and resolve data discrepancies and operational problems.
- Ability toperform detailed work and to handle a large volume of work quickly and accurately under timeconstraints.
- Courtesy, tact and the ability to work effectively with people of different national andcultural backgrounds.
Desired skills:
