Finance Assistant Good Neighbors International (GNI) is an international non-governmental, non-profit, humanitarian relief and development organization founded in Republic of Korea in 1991. It currently works in 30 countries in Africa, Southeast Asia, Middle Asia and Central and South America. GNI plans and implements community development projects based on the Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).
GNI(Myanmar) is currently seeking motivated, efficient, experienced and dedicated candidate for the Koepin Office (Sinbaungwae Township) , Yae Lae Office & Sundani Office (Nyaung Done Township) for 1 position in each office .
Post title: Finance Assistant
Reporting to: Project Manager/ Coordinator
Duty Station : 1 position in each office ( Koepin - Sinbaungwae Township, Yae Lae & Sundani - Nyaung Done Township)

Unique Activity
- Draw cash from local bank. Maintain cash disbursements and cash control sheet for office safe.
- Checks all daily transactions and cash book with excel.
- Prepare monthly financial packages and reports Maintain advance control sheet and check expenditure report from staff as well as other suppliers.
- Prepare journal entries and monthly cash book report.
- Manage and process the project expense report sheets for each sector in CDP, including analysis, allocation, summarizing and entering data.
- These monthly project expense reports must reach the Head Office (Yangon) by the 20th of each month.
- Ensure monthly back up of the Finance's computer.
- Oversee and check petty cash using.
Coordination/Collaboration
- Coordinate the payment of monthly salaries for staff. Ensure enough funds are in the Office safe for salaries to be paid. Prepare salary receipts, and maintain records for salaries paid
- Work with Project Manager/Coordinator for preparation of budgets.
- Make sure all the receipts are clear, reasonable and are in line with budget before sending report to Yangon Office. Answer the query from Finance Coordinator from Head office regarding expense receipts.
- Work closely with project staff for clear understanding of good financial guidelines and management.
- Participate in POA developing.
Reporting
- Prepare financial reports in cooperation with Project Manager/Coordinator and make sure the reports meet the deadline.
- In cooperation with Project Manager, analyze monthly project budget reports and then distribute to Finance Coordinator(HO) and Program Manager.
Qualifications:
- Myanmar National
- Must have University degree or equivalent qualification in finance and accounting and at least one year experience in similar position.
- Strong analytical and accounting skill. Ability to adapt GNI Rules and regulation.
- Good working knowledge and skill on computer especially in Office 2007.
- Pleasant personality Written and oral communication skills in Myanmar and English.
- Able to work independently, asking for help when needed.
- Able to travel as necessary.
- Ability to communicate in a diplomatic and assertive manner
- Able to work gracefully under pressure; able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
