Field Attendant (2 positions) with the Research Laboratories under the Laboratory Services (Advertisement #381/13)

icddr,b invites applications from suitable candidates for the position ofField Attendant (2 positions) with the Research Laboratories under the Laboratory Services. The appointment will be made on a Contractual Service Agreement (CSA) basis for 7 months, which may be renewable depending on satisfactory performance and availability of funds.

Duty Station – Dhaka

Salary – Tk.10,010/-(consolidated) per month inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances. No other benefit is admissible.

Job Profile

• Motivate the subjects for enrolment into study;
• Fill up brief questionnaire;
• Collection of clinical specimens from the study participants and transportation from the study sites to tuberculosis lab maintaining the cold chain;
• Jointly work with study physicians and study nurse in the study subject recruitment process.

Requirements

• SSC passed or equivalent;
• Minimum 1 year practical experience in relevant field;
• Adequate knowledge and understanding of the job of an Attendant;
• Ability to understand basic rules to work in an office;
• Must have sense of bio-safety & dutifulness and be punctual;
• Ability to work in field conditions and extensive field visit;
• Ability to work closely with most at risk population groups for Tuberculosis;
• Ability to understand and follow the instructions both in written and verbal English and Bangla.
