Job: Staff Development Assistant, UNAMI

Description
Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Chief Training Officer, the incumbent will perform the following duties:
  • Assist the supervisor in designing specific training programmes to meet unique mission operational requirements and staff development needs;
  • Assist in developing systems and methods for disseminating information to mission personnel on training and staff development opportunities, including distance-learning, self study and other sources of learning;
  • Assist in coordinating and organizing specialized training programmes with the various sections in both Mission Support and Substantive areas;
  • Assist in disseminating information to mission personnel on training and staff development opportunities, including distance learning, self study and other sources of learning;
  • Collect and maintain statistical data on training activities and respond to queries and requests for information on training programmes;
  • Draft routine and ad hoc outputs and provide monitoring reports and data;
  • Assist in the preparation of yearly training budget and monitor budgetary allocation and expenditure through regular reviews with clients offices;
  • Provide assistance in the development of training modules and materials to be used in different programmes;
  • Deliver training that will include induction programmes, language courses especially Arabic lessons and other competency based topics;
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluation of training and development activities;
  • Perform other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Education: High school diploma and further training in education and or work experience in human resources development and adult learning opportunities.
Experience: A minimum offive (5) years of progressively responsible experience in training, teaching, instruction, facilitation or other academic related fields.
Language: Excellent command of written English and Arabic.
Other Skills: Proficiency in MS Office.
