The Bank is seeking to provide cover for two bankers who are due to take maternity leave early in 2014. As such, these are both short term contracts of between 12 to 23 months and will be based in the EBRD's Kiev Representative Office ('RO').
The focus of both positions will be on monitoring existing business and on supporting new business development in the broader corporate sector - so any direct experience in Agribusiness, Manufacturing and / or Property would be considered an advantage.
The incumbents will be expected to have a thorough understanding of financial risk analysis and be able to effectively conduct detailed financial due diligence on both existing and potential clients of the bank. Responsibilities and Deliverables
Providing support to the designated Operations Leader ('OL') in project monitoring:
· Responsibilities will include regular client contact through which the incumbent will gather data, perform financial analysis of (debt and equity), prepare and review financial projections and financial models, monitor covenants, assess performance relative to peers, produce reports required during the project cycle and liaise with the Bank's internal Credit department, and other support units.
Providing support to the designated OL in terms of new business generation:
· Research and analysis of background information for different industry sectors;
· Attending meetings with clients together with more senior bankers and preparing concise meeting reports;
· Responsibility for building financial models, conducting sensitivity analysis and assessing risk;
· Drafting of specific assigned portions of Bank documents and correspondence;
· With supervision from senior team members, the incumbent will be capable of working throughout the whole life cycle of projects. Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications - Good relevant degree from a leading university in the country of education (e.g. business administration, banking, economics, finance);
- Minimum 3+ years relevant commercial experience at Senior Analyst level or 5+ years for Associate level (e.g. banking, finance, accounting, audit or project finance) gained from a major commercial / investment bank, equity fund, advisory service or corporate finance firm;
- Strong credit analysis skills including the ability to interpret company accounts and provide succinct, detailed and accurate credit / risk analysis;
- Proven numerical and financial skills, with a focus on building and sensitising complex financial models;
- High level of computer literacy: significant experience with Microsoft Office, including spreadsheet packages and financial analysis models;
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, Ukrainian and Russian and the ability to work, where required, directly with clients of the Bank.Competencies and Personal Attributes- Ability to work in multicultural environments;
