The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for itsInformation and Corporate Centre (ICC) - Corporate Information Reporting Division (CIR) a:
(Junior) Corporate Information Reporting Officer
Purpose
The (Junior) Corporate Information Reporting Officer will provide pragmatic and innovative solutions to support and improve access to the Bank's corporate information reporting and enabling analytic capabilities by implementing the Microsoft SharePoint technology and developing applications with Information Technology (IT), contributing thus to ensuring that the Bank's vision regarding Corporate Information Reporting (CIR) is implemented and that CIR complies with its terms of reference.
Operating Network
The (Junior) Corporate Information Reporting Officer reports to the head of CIR and co-operates closely with Bank-wide partners involved in the production cycle of corporate information and clients of CIR, and IT. External contacts include contacts with peers, best practice bodies and external consultants.
Accountabilities
- Contribute to the development and improvement of corporate information production processes and activities, related SharePoint dashboard development (down to SharePoint cubes) and information quality in order to ensure that 'the right corporate information is made available at the right time to the right people and in the right format';
- Contribute to the development of CIR's annual plan and mid-term strategy
- Based on best practice, contribute to the design and development of maintenance activities and processes related to SharePoint dashboards and related analytics
- Prepare dashboard related specifications for potential developments with IT regarding data sourcing amendments below SharePoint cubes or regarding SharePoint data collection processes
- Contribute to the design and development of the corporate information portal (intranet) and the SharePoint dashboard platform, related processes (e.g. data collection) and methodologies
- Develop links and synergies with internal corporate information reporting stakeholders (IT in particular) at a Bank-wide level as appropriate
- Contribute to the design and development of an Information Quality Improvement Plan and to organisation-wide corporate information standards
- Implement and test maintenance activities and processes covering SharePoint dashboards and related analytics
Qualifications
- University degree (post-graduate) preferably in information technology, economics or finance with a focus on Business Intelligence, Management Information Systems and Reporting
- Minimum of 3 years' professional experience in management information, business intelligence and analysis preferably gained within an international organisation
- Exposure to frontline banking activities would be an advantage
- Experience in developing, testing and maintaining information systems
- Excellent knowledge of data modelling, business intelligence methodologies, platforms and solutions
- Good knowledge of corporate performance management principles and related management tools such as Balanced Scorecard, etc.
- Good knowledge of software applications/databases, reporting tools (e.g. SharePoint, SQL Server, Sybase, Business Objects) and of Data Warehousing technology
- Knowledge of the Bank's purpose, organisation and activities and of the planning, administrative, financial and legal aspects governing its operations
- Fluent in English or French and a solid understanding of the other
