FEMIP trainee: Projects Directorate (PJ) - Regional and Urban Development Division
Duration of traineeship: 6 months (with possible extension for up to 12 months)
Responsibilities
Under the Head of Division's supervision, the trainee would support the preparation and implementation of the Urban Projects Finance Initiative (UPFI), a joint initiative of the EIB, AFD and Union for the Mediterranean covering the FEMIP region. This would focus on the review of project documentation, support in the preparation and monitoring of assignments for consultants managed under the UPFI umbrella, support in the preparation of UPFI workshops and other events, and support in the interface between the Projects Directorate and the Operations divisions responsible for financing. The trainee would also contribute to the drafting and editing of related reports, as well as related country and sector work.
Qualifications
- Degree in Spatial Planning and Development, Development Economics, Social and Political Science, Environmental Studies or equivalent
- Good understanding of development issues, particularly of the Mediterranean region, is an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and/or French
