FEMIP Trainee for: Directorate for Lending Operations outside Europe - Trust Funds and BlendingDivision - Trust Funds & Financing Partnerships Unit
Duration of traineeship: 6 months (with possible extension for a total of up to 12 months)
Support to the Trust Funds & Financing Partnerships Unit in the management of Trust Funds: Facility for Euro-Mediterranean Investment & Partnership Trust Funds (FEMIP TF) and Neighbourhood Investment Facility TF (NIF TF).
Responsibilities
Under the Head of Unit's supervision the trainee would:
  • Assist in the day to day management and administration of the Trust Funds
  • Contribute to the drafting of Trust Fund proposals and briefing notes
  • Contribute to monitoring, follow-up and reporting of activities
  • Provide support to information and communication activities
  • Assist in the preparation and follow up on Donors' meetings and other similar events
  • Help with data collection and research work as need may be
Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree in Economics, Finance, or Political Science and International Affairs
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft application tools (Word, Excel, PPP)
  • Good understanding of development issues is an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and/or French; knowledge of Arabic would be an advantage
