Microsoft IT (MSIT) is looking for an experienced Program/Project Manager to manage the MSIT/Windows Phone Business Group engagement, with a specific emphasis on leading dogfood programs (internal beta programs).

As Microsoft’s First & Best Customer, Microsoft IT plays a critical role in ensuring that our products are validated internally before RTM (Release to Manufacturing). This position will be responsible for leading the Windows Phone dogfood programs, end to end accountability for meeting Dogfood Program shared goals and contributing to the successful launch of a high quality Windows Phone product through each product release. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned program & project manager experienced in all phases of the SDLC having participated in shipping multiple external products and a persistent customer advocate. In order to be successful, a solid technical foundation combined with strong business acumen, organizational skills and the ability to lead a larger virtual team are required.

Primary Responsibilities include:
• Managing the Microsoft IT/Windows Phone Business Group relationship
• Project Managing the Windows Phone dogfood programs across a broad set of stakeholders and workstreams
• Engaging in vNext Windows Phone product planning and championing end user and enterprise IT scenarios
• Defining, negotiating and achieving dogfood program Shared Goals
• Leading a large virtual team spanning several disciplines, technologies and organizations across the company
• Accountable for ensuring a positive client experience and minimizing end user productivity impact throughout the dogfood program while meeting all dogfood program objectives
• Fully validating the Windows Phone product feature set while minimizing impact to IT Services
• Effectively representing MSIT with senior leaders/executives across the company
• Contributing to IT Showcase materials and EBC engagements related to the Windows Phone product
• Developing and managing a detailed project plan of program deliverables, dependencies and timelines
• Regularly communicating status, risks, dependencies, etc. of the dogfood program in both meetings and other communication modes
• Identifying opportunities and partnering with IT service owners to drive improvements in dependent services
• Increasing Microsoft IT’s First & Best (dogfood) capability through the introduction of new solutions, processes and approaches that further the MSIT contribution to the Windows Phone product

Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum 3-5 Years Windows Phone OR Phone Operating Systems OR Mobility experience 
• Minimum 3-5 years IT Program/ Project Management

Preferred Skills: 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent with a min of 4 years of tech experience in the computer industry
• Minimum three to five years’ experience in IT service or project management
• Experience working with the Product groups in technical program management and/or product/service planning role.
• Demonstrated technical understanding of Microsoft and industry products & technologies, particularly Windows Phone
• Strong written & verbal communication skills as well as experience as a strong cross-group collaborator
• Strong program management and leadership abilities
• Experience presenting to and communicating with executive management
• Strong analytical and organizational skills. Must be self-motivated and able to plan and organize work to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
• Strong cross group collaboration skills
• General knowledge of PC Hardware and Software
• Knowledge of Windows Phone operating systems and solutions
• Successful completion of Background and Credit check is required for this opportunity. A prior conviction or derogatory credit record will not necessarily disqualify you from employment in this position
• Experience with Telco service providers and hardware providers
• Experience with Enterprise mobility scenarios and solutions 
• Strong problem resolution, judgment and decision making skills required.
• Strong mentoring, team building, and collaboration skills
