The Corporate Functions IT Engineering organization is seeking an innovative Program Manager / Senior Analyst who can represent their Microsoft Business Partner as part of the overall Royalties platform. A successful candidate will become a subject matter expert in the business process and in the capabilities of the platform and help to craft the next generation of tools to support the Outbound Royalties (OBR) functions within Microsoft. In addition, they will be responsible for designing and overseeing implementation of new features for the business tools leveraging new and existing features of the Royalties platform. 

The role will require close collaboration with the Business SME’s, Solution Delivery and the engineering team to inform and influence the platform roadmap and make sure the unsupported customer needs are known. As new platform extensions are released, this role works with the tenet engineering team to design and build solutions using the new extensions. By representing the business customer’s needs to the platform, the tenet team can continually add value to their customers by staying ahead of their needs.

Program Management and Delivery responsibilities will include:
Lead multiple concurrent features; managing scope, schedule, issues/risks, trade-offs, communications and expectations.
Must be ready to and be able to get into details (functional and technical) and drive to resolve issues.
Performing functional and technical analysis including functional specification creation and data modeling.
Formal scope management, facilitation of impact analysis, driving timely decisions around recommendations. This includes prioritization of scope and trade-off decisions. 
Should have a true passion to deal with multiple customer groups & internal IT partners.
Develop and sustain strong working relationships with business partners, solution deliver, development, test, operations, vendors and IT partners.
Demonstrate that customer satisfaction is top priority by ensuring team’s commitments are aligned with and delivered to meet customer satisfaction objectives.
Analyze, remove, and proactively prevent roadblocks across team to meet quality standards, project milestones, and business objectives.
Follow and enforce structured software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology, ensuring projects adhere to SDLC key controls and milestones.
Ensure feature team output consistently meets standards and policies for security, privacy and performance. 
Work with SD and business customers to inventory emerging business needs.
Manage the design of feature enhancements to meet the emerging business needs.
Manage the vendor analysts responsible for delivering functional designs. 
Manage the tactical engineering planning across internal and partner teams for assigned features.
Help define the engineering requirements for new features.
Create efficiencies in engineering process that improve our delivery capabilities (focus on excellence)
Understand the responsibilities and working styles of each partner team, and facilitate improvements in our cross team effectiveness (teamwork)

In addition, the individual will need to project manage smaller projects (less than 500k from time to time) within the Royalty portfolio of applications and responsibilities will include:
Solid PMI Project management experience delivering large projects. 
Development and management of the end to end project schedules, including management of cross stream dependencies, tracking of key activities, deliverables, and milestones, resource allocation analysis including capability planning and resource balancing, and critical path management with timely decision analysis
Strong knowledge of MS Project 2013 and MS Project Online is desirable.
Drive the MSIT Standard for risk and issues management, including detailed risk response planning and escalation management 
Formal scope management, facilitation of impact analysis, driving timely decisions around recommendations. This includes prioritization of scope and trade-off decisions. 
Accurate Project cost accounting: Budget, forecast and actual analysis 
Development and execution of the communication plan, which includes effective business and internal stakeholder communication requirements and analysis
Understand and drive business value on projects through the lifecycle.
Software delivery methodology experience across Waterfall and/or Agile 
Drive governance processes through the establishment and facilitation of the core team, including meeting minutes and active follow up on action items 
Drive the MSIT standard for change control process through the establishment and facilitation of the core team, steering committee, and exec sponsor meetings, including meeting minutes and active follow up on action items 
Strong leadership and communication abilities in order to balance the art and science of driving smaller projects
Strong Negotiation Skills

Minimum Qualifications include:
Minimum of 6 years of experience as project manager/program manager, systems analyst or systems/management consultant.
Minimum of 5 years working in SDLC or ITLC Methodology including demonstrated experience delivering software applications using structured software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology; should include experience where candidate was personally responsible for completing typical program manager owned deliverables including project schedules and functional specifications. 

Preferred Qualifications: 
Proven ability to perform functional and technical analysis
Able to prioritize when working on multiple work streams and deliverables at the same time and where possible, bring organization and structure to the vendor resources who are completing the functional design
Must have enterprise IT experience in Program Management. Finance line of business applications experience is a plus.
Understanding of Enterprise IT at the scale and complexity of Microsoft
Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
Exceptional ability to collaborate, openly communicate, present and negotiate effectively across disciplines and groups, with vendors and with customers.
Demonstrated experience delivering results in an ambiguous and changing environment, the ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
Strong customer focus, systems analysis and analytical problem solving skills is a must
Sound judgment and decision-making skills, ability to juggle multiple competing priorities, and ability to work under deadline pressure
High degree of technical aptitude and a passion to learn new technologies. Ability to quickly grasp and understand technical problems and concepts and apply this knowledge.
Excellent project planning, management and deployment skills.
