Training and Hygiene Promotion Officer 18 September 2013 Relief International is a humanitarian non-profit agency that provides emergency relief, rehabilitation, development assistance, and program services to vulnerable communities worldwide. Relief International is dedicated to reducing human suffering and is non-political and non-sectarian in its mission. Relief International's Provision of WASH Assistant project in Rakhine State aims to improve access to water and sanitation facilities in IDP camps in Myebon township. The project will use a communitybased approach to hygiene promotion, environmental sanitation and water supply at the IDP camps.

Job Title: Training and Hygiene Promotion Officer

General Description of Role

Training and Hygiene Promotion Officer will organize and conduct the training for to promote safe hygiene practice for target communities. The Training and Hygiene Promotion Officer responsible for Training plan, preparation for hand outs and materials, evaluation and documentation of the training. The specific responsibilities will be following:

Specific Responsibilities

• To carry out collection of survey data regarding to the hygiene knowledge and practices for target communities.
• To support WASH Program Manager and organize Non-Food Items(NFI), kit and refilling distribution to the target communities with a slight approach and close collaboration with implementing partners ( UN agencies and NGOs ), key community members.
• To organize promotion activities, and to conduct hygiene training session (to use hygiene kit) through the communities.
• To identify key community members, health workers and volunteers to implement hygiene sensitization and actively spread hygiene messages through the IDP's population.
• Prepare training reports, collect data and information about the training.
• Perform any other related duties assigned by Program Manager.

Desired background and experience

• Bachelor degree in any discipline.
• At least 2 years experience in related field in NGOs/INGOs/UNs.
• Literate in computer, and able to use MS Word, Excel, and Power point application.
• Prior training experience preferred with hygiene, water and sanitation.
• Good communication of written and spoken in English.
• Capacity to plan, deliver and monitor for training.
• Ability to work under stressful conditions and working environment.
