The Myanmar Peace Center (MPC) has been established on 26 October 2012 to serve as the Secretariat to the Union Peaceâ€making Central Committee and the Union Peaceâ€making Work Committee. MPC will also serve as a focal point for international partners and civil society organizations on issues related to the peace process.
The Outreach and Public Diplomacy is established to communicate and engage with the public for developing public support and participation in the peace process in order to build the sustainable peace.

Qualification/Requirement
- University degree or diploma in Journalism or communication related field.
- Minimum three years' experience in related job
- Excellent grasp of writing and editing print media
- Ability to use standard application software (MS Word) and Internet applications
- Must be able to type both in English and Myanmar
- Ability to develop professional relationship in all aspects of the position that result in stable, consistent, reliable and courteous communication when dealing with other organization
- Good command of written and spoken English and Myanmar Languages
- Able to work with flexible working hours in shift
- Travel to domestics and/or overseas as necessary
- Ability to solve problem and work independently in a changing and multiâ€tasking environment with numerous deadlines
- Excellent organizational planning and project management
Job Description
- Supervise and coordinate work of reporters and other editors
- Manage & monitor newsâ€gathering operations to ensure utilization of all news sources, such as press releases, telephone contacts, radio, television, wire services, and other reporters.
- Meet frequently with artists, typesetters, layout personnel, marketing directors, and production managers to discuss projects and resolve problems.
- Networking with newspapers, magazines and other publishing establishments.
- Help in project activity planning, managing & reporting
- Perform other tasks assigned by Program Director
