Job Description
ICANN has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Manager, HR Development.
  • The Senior Manager, HR Development will be responsible for designing and executing organizational development strategies, processes and programs required by a high performing global organization.
  • This will include leadership and employee development, performance management, talent and success planning. The Senior Manager will align talent with strategic business objectives in a fast-moving, multi-national, matrixed organization and utilize expertise in OD to communicate and deploy initiatives for talent at all levels within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the continuous development of a best-in-class workforce planning and global organizational performance strategy
  • Partner with senior business leaders to assess organizational design, leadership effectiveness and leadership needs
  • Identify business priorities and lead talent strategy and planning initiatives in alignment of these priorities
  • Develop and implement a sustained talent development program
  • Work with staff to develop best practices in training for new initiatives and tools
  • Manage employee recognition and morale programs
  • Identify key employees and align succession planning efforts to grow the talent pipeline within the organization and sustain retention
  • Evaluate and support efforts in the improvement of performance management and coaching
  • Supervise and mentor staff that will implement OD initiatives throughout the organization.
  • Evaluate strategies and programs to measure the achievement of established goals
  • Deliver formal presentations on a variety of OD topics
  • Other duties as assigned or requested

Required Skills
(All are required unless specifically noted as “preferred or desiredâ€)
  • Deep subject matter expertise in OD, workforce planning, change management, culture building and leadership development.
  • Leadership with keen business acumen and ability to think through business strategy to the ramifications of what's valuable to the business.
  • Ability to create an OD strategy that drives business outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to partner with leaders, gain trust and articulate progress to Sr. Management, HR and Finance teams
  • Ability to mentor and collaborate with direct reports and colleagues
  • General familiarity with the ICANN Multi-Stakeholder model and process
  • Ability to read and write in a foreign language desired
  • Ability to advise and direct subordinates in the performance of their work and in the development of their work abilities
  • Ability to solve complex issues in an ambiguous environment
  • A contagious passion for ICANN's mission and a voracious appetite to learn.
Required Experience

  • Master's Degree in Organizational development/Organizational psychology or related field, highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's Degree minimally required in field of study as stated above or related field
  • Minimum 8 years OD experience in a global, matrixed, multi-million dollar organization
