The Web Client team delivers on the HTTP stacks for all of Windows, supporting customers like Internet Explorer, Windows Web Applications and Windows Phone. This role is responsible for designing and developing the next generation HTTP stack that combines high performance connectivity and supports the latest emerging standards for the majority of applications and services in Windows.
The Web Client team is looking for a proven Program Manager to design and deliver the next generation Internet connectivity for Windows and Internet Explorer. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record of driving for results; working across team boundaries; and creating real customer benefit through scenario driven engineering. The candidate should have proven strong technical skills, be self-motivated & directed, have the ability to ramp quickly on end-to-end scenarios and technologies.
You will be responsible for:
- Writing specifications (Features & Deliverables in TFS) and work closely with developers and testers to make sure the final implementation meets the user goals and supports business priorities.
- Working with Dev/Test/PM peers/UX to foster a climate of collaboration, accountability and results.
- Ensuring our HTTP stacks are secure and reliable (performance and scalable).
- Making tough feature trade-off decisions to meet fixed schedule and ship criteria
Qualifications:
- 3+ years Program Management experience including experience shipping high quality customer facing software.
- Must possess strong technical skills and project management skills.
- Great design and problem solving skills.
- Highly effective communication skills (written and verbal) and an ability to work across multiple disciplines and organizations to achieve great results.
