Microsoft Financing (MSF) - Americas is looking for a highly motivated, successful sales leader to run their US sales organization. Microsoft Financing provides flexible payment solutions to drive incremental revenue by making premium MS software, service and devices easier to sell for our field and more affordable for our customers to acquire. We also provide financial expertise to our EPG account teams and support discussions with our customers addressing their business and financial requirements which are critical to their technology decisions.
The Microsoft Financing EPG Sales Manager is a results driven, dynamic leader that can motivate Enterprise Financing Executives (EFE) to drive new and renewal business of Microsoft Payment Solutions to our top customers and help the US EPG team achieve its sales and scorecard objectives.
Primary Responsibilities include: Manager coaching and development, maintaining highly successful sales teams that produce a healthy Microsoft Financing pipeline; involvement in offering deployment and sales readiness efforts; partnering closely with the Enterprise Business Development Managers, Licensing Managers, District EPG General Managers, Sales Excellence Leads, ATU Mangers, STU Managers and HQ teams. EFE talent and skill development and coaching, sales strategy development, transaction management, opportunity assessment and management, accurate sales forecasting and escalation management are all critical responsibilities of this role.
Accountabilities include:
• Recruit, motivate and retain top EFE sales talent
• Sales coaching, skill development, recognition and performance management of EFE team
• Sales Excellence - Sales readiness, territory planning, opportunity management (CRM), forecasting, offer utilization and win/loss analysis
• Establishing and maintaining an effective ROB (Rhythm of the Business) with key EPG sales leadership, WWLP, and MSF stakeholders as identified above
• MSF-Americas Extended Leadership Team participation and contribution to strategy, tactical planning and process improvement
• Deep understanding of Microsoft products, services and licensing
• Effective use of price empowerment to drive incremental revenue
• 40% domestic travel to conduct customer and sales meetings
Success criteria include:
• Meet/exceed financing volume targets ($600M approx.)
• Drive better deals for Microsoft, i.e. incremental revenue via payment solutions as measured by our KPI and subsidiary scorecard metrics
• Forecasting accuracy
• Effective team leadership and team health by positive manager, stakeholder and peer feedback and WHI (Workgroup Health Index).
Qualifications:
• Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills, executive maturity and presence
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority activities through effective planning
• Strong judgment and abilities to influence key stakeholders
• Senior management, collaboration and team leadership skills and a proven track record of exceeding sales objectives.
• Passion for success, a willingness to take on new challenges and big goal, a strong drive for results and action-oriented
• High degree of numeracy and a return-on-investment mindset; understanding of industry business metrics, financial analytics and proficiency with financial calculations; familiarity with accounting reports (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements)
• Expertise in strategic sales planning and operations management including supporting IT systems;
• High-level of integrity, self-confidence, demonstrated change management and support for a diverse and inclusive culture
• University degree - an MBA is preferred. Experience with finance and/or financing and Microsoft experience are a plus
• Deep understanding of Microsoft products, services and licensing
