Description

A Microsoft Integration Manager (IM) is responsible for providing insight, clarity and execution to Microsoft’s acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures. This role leads and program manages the core and virtual teams responsible for assessing and executing projects (transactions). Core job Responsibilities include:provide early, strategic and best practice insight to deal teams; establish the Program Management Office (PMO); participate in preliminary due diligence; lead and execute confirmatory due diligence; lead integration planning and initial execution; continuously provide clarity around roles and responsibilities, process and outcomes; ensure performance tracking occurs. The IM is also responsible, as a core member of a Microsoft Center of Excellence (COE), for the continuous improvement of the Venture Integration practice. Improvement deliverables include knowledge management / best practice identification and documentation, external benchmarking, and systems/tools improvement. 
This role interacts with both internal and external groups (such as external diligence providers and transaction partners). The IM partners closely with Engineering Group leadership, corporate teams, Venture Integration functional teams across all areas of the company, to ensure transactions are smoothly executed.

• Program manages confirmatory due diligence, integration and separation planning, execution and performance tracking
• Mobilizes and leads virtual teams and manages to schedule and deliverables
• Assesses the impact of the integration/separation on the business and leads design and execution of plans to preserve and create value
• Translates business requirements into an integration/separation plan
• Creates highly effective partnerships, including regular clarification of roles and responsibilities, across client and partner teams
• Drives urgency to deliver on key milestones and deliverables 
• Identifies and clarifies issues, risks, and opportunities, and escalates as appropriate
• Shares best practices from prior transactions from across the enterprise and their experience

• Business leaders (Engineering Group Vice Presidents and General Managers)

• VI practice leaders and teams

• Finance leadership

Qualifications: 
• 5 + years of direct or related Integration, mergers & acquisitions, divesture or Joint Venture experience. 
• Prior Integrations experience required
• Expertise in acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures, recruiting, and strategy beneficial for selection. 
• Must have exceptionally strong program management skills. Must have broad-based business knowledge in the high-tech industry. 
• Strong financial and business acumen required. 
• Must be an effective communicator at all levels with ability to act as trusted advisor to senior management with both Microsoft and the transaction partner. 
• An MS, MA, MBA or like advanced degree preferred in Business or related field.
• Experience should include successful participation in M&A transactions and/or broad program development and management. 
• Up to 25% of time may be required for domestic and international travel, sometimes with short notice.
