The Visual C++ team is looking for a great program manager for the code generation and optimization team. It is our mission to ensure that our compilers generate industry leading performance and reliability and giving our customers the power and performance they need to create industry changing applications.

As the team that owns the C++ development tools, we are at the center of everything our company builds, from Office to Windows to Bing. With this position comes a huge responsibility, to our developers internally and to the breadth of ISVs, small shops and indie developers that have made our platform successful over the past 3 decades ("Developers! Developers! Developers!").

We are embarking on one of our most ambitious plans in years: capture the creativity of the breadth and ISV developers in order to build fresh, unique, and visually intensive applications for Windows. Many of these developers prefer C++ for its uncontested leadership in performance, a cornerstone in tomorrow's software (natural user interfaces, video games, augmented reality etc…). We need a strong PM to focus on the performance and code analysis part of our product.

Specific Responsibilities
Partner with team to design and deliver a great code analysis tools, optimizing compiler, and linker for our developers
As a Program Manager, deliver on all phases of the product cycle
Be the key contact and advocate for critical internal and external partners

Required Basic Qualifications: 
5+ years of experience in software development
3+ years of strong track record of shipping secure, high quality software through all phases of the product cycle Good knowledge of C++ and C++ development environments (3+ years) 
4 year Computer Science/Engineering degree or 3-4 years of industry experience developing C++ applications for Windows

Demonstrated success in cross team partnerships
Great performance and optimized code background
Great passion for developers
