Description
Communications Strategy and Planning Lead
We are looking for someone who can help drive communications for the DAX for Enterprise Services Program (DAX4ES) - including strategic messaging development and telling the DAX4ES “story” to drive Organizational Change Management. This role provides an opportunity to develop communication for key internal audiences that include Microsoft Consulting Services, Premier Support and Customer Support as well as Microsoft Business Groups particularly MBS. This is an exciting opportunity to work across services, Microsoft IT, engineering and finance teams to help communicate the benefits of DAX4ES.
The ideal candidate has previous marketing, communications and/or public relations experience and can drive complex projects with multiple stakeholders and changing deadlines. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and is excited about the opportunity to join a highly-motivated and collaborative team.
This position requires exceptional attention to detail and project management skills. It also requires the ability to drive and influence collaborative discussions and decisions with key stakeholders and executives. Outstanding written and verbal skills are a must. Creative work experience and design acumen are a bonus.
Key deliverables include but are not limited to:
DAX4ES Story - Develop the strategic “why” story and help market the key benefits of the DAX4ES Program to executives, core team members and impacted Microsoft audiences.
Strategy - Create and drive execution of the communications strategy for Organizational Change Management.
Timely Communications - Build communication timeline to ensure that key stakeholders are informed of key milestones and deliverables, informed of progress-to-date, major achievements and next steps of all relevant projects and workstreams. Develop an overall editorial calendar that maps to the key milestones and deliverables that will drive the communication assets to the right audience at the right time.
Communication Assets - Provide strategic direction for development of communication assets to include but not limited to: Newsletters, PowerPoint decks, internal websites/portals, marketing materials (posters, mugs, pens, etc.)
Communication Support - Provide strategic communication support for DAX4ES leadership teams for messaging and presentation support for major events (xDM, Global Operations Summit, etc.)
Strategic Updates - Create and drive regular online presentations (virtual brown bags) to inform key audiences of progress-to-date, key upcoming milestones, help needed, etc. Drive the content and provide session recordings, Q&A and PowerPoint decks following the sessions.
Provide strategic content - Provide DAX4ES program or project related content to other interested groups through their regular channels of communications (their newsletters, their monthly meetings, etc.)
Provide strategic content for Steerco - Provide support for the steering committee monthly meetings, PowerPoint, headlines, etc.
