The Quality & Compliance Team in EE develops internally targeted software and services in the areas of engineering policy, compliance and scanning, with the goal of helping business groups improve software quality. We are in the process of architecting an integrated solution from multiple standalone systems for compliance, scanning and compliance issue management/tracking for both internal and external enterprise customers and we want your help! You will be part of the team designing tools used by every product and services group at Microsoft, tools that contribute to accelerating Microsoft’s rate of innovation, and driving improvements to quality that our customers demand and deserve. We have an opening for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to help drive testing for our compliance engineering system. 
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test with a strong track record of shipping high quality software and driving innovative testing techniques and technologies to create a state-of-the-art services product. 

You will be responsible for:
• Identifying and tracking key metrics critical to the project’s success.
• Participate in code reviews and educate the engineering teams on best practices for writing solid code. 
• Make priority tradeoffs focused on quality and risk. 
• Bring great energy, passion and drive for excellence in quality assurance.
• Collaborate across Development, Test, PM, Operations and partner organizations to help drive quality.
• Being a voice for the customer in shiproom and across disciplines. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work across engineering disciplines and across teams to make things happen
• Able to work in an agile development environment and partner with engineering and product team to ensure that our products adhere to the engineering best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and investigation skills with the mindset of innovating new ways to verify that our technologies will be successful as the product evolves.
• Be able to root cause issues and fix them, instead of exploring band aid solutions


Requirements:
• 5+ years of programming experiences in C++, C# or similar language
• 5+ years of experience shipping products across multiple product cycles
• Proven technical leadership and creativity and the ability to think strategically and tactically
• Excellent working knowledge of test methodologies, tools and techniques
• Strong customer focus and passion for improving engineering efficiency
• Demonstrated a passion, excellence, and leadership in Test
• Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in an agile engineering environment
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent field. M.S. is preferred by not required.
• Desired experience in a services focused product environment where live site focus in paramount. 

The position is located in Redmond, WA.
