The Microsoft Office Division is committed to meeting our regulatory requirements as outlined in agreements with the EU and DOJ. We’re committed to fostering the adoption of sound engineering principals around interoperability while driving down the impact to engineering teams and overall cost of producing protocol documentation and supporting collateral. These documentation requirements are critical path for shipping products on-time, and require a good deal of planning and coordination to pull off alongside product development.
The Microsoft Office Division Compliance team is looking for a Program Manager to help plan, automate and execute the protocol content. This role is focused on developing efficient processes, tools, and engineering workflow improvements to deliver on Microsoft Office Division’s regulatory commitments, driving business value through interoperability and standards engagement. In this role, you’ll work directly with a wide range of product team engineers, development and test engineers, architects, and other program managers to plan, schedule, and organize the documentation effort and ensure that everyone is effectively executing to plan. The projects primarily include creating internal tools and automation design, integrating or designing solutions with other, Microsoft-wide tools and processes that are in place. We’re building a dedicated team to develop these documentation tools and processes, and to build tools to help Microsoft and third parties test their protocol implementations against the documentation. The schedules are tight, the work is challenging, and the eyes of Microsoft leadership and the regulatory world are on the outcomes.
The changes being driven on this team have high visibility throughout the Microsoft Office Division. Basic qualifications include: 
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or equivalent experience
A minimum of 2 years of program management experience.
Proficiency in writing Design Specifications and/or Project Plans that result in successful implementation and testing
Working knowledge of design, development and test procedures at Microsoft
Demonstrated track record for managing and shipping at least 2 software products
Demonstrated track record of driving cross-team projects from origin to resolution with minimal supervision

Ideal Candidates for this role will demonstrate the following competencies and experiences:
Experience with Standards or Compliance Engineering
Experience with code annotation, protocol definition and/or documentation
Experience with shipping product and working in a cross-division team environment
Exceptional communication, organizational, and negotiation skills 
Attention to detail, ability to see the big picture, and a drive for results are all critical to the role
Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage several projects or feature crews
