Job: Logistics Officer

Location: Copenhagen, Denmark

Purpose of the Position
Provide support to supply chain strengthening through knowledge and experience in in-country logistics, logistics information systems expertise and technical support to CO in information systems and VISION warehouse modules.
Key Expected Results
  • Provide support to Country Offices and Governments in strengthening of In-Country Logistics through missions, remote support, data analysis etc.
  • Provide technical and operational support to Country Offices in Logistics Management Information Systems (SAP) through:
  • Trouble-shooting and technical input to VISION enhancements and business processes
  • Undertake complex data collection, analysis and visual representation of results to feed into reports to be used for decision making
  • Provide training and capacity building (provide inputs to existing tools and develop innovative approach to improving the status quo)
  • Drive roll-out of UniTrack partner version, including installation, training and other support if required.
  • Assess existing logistics operations systems (Vision) and advise on corrective measures/further improvements to be undertaken.
  • Provide input to ICL policies and guidances and ensure coherenence with other policies and VISION workflows.
  • Produce comprehensive reports on missions, assessments and other key initiatives
Qualifications of Successful Candidate
Academic qualifications:
  • University degree in management information systems, logistics, supply chain.
Work Experience:
  • Two years professional experience in logistics operations,with emphasis on LMIS (SAP or Vision knowledge) a requirement
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Access is an advantage.
  • Experience in emergency/development desirable.
Language requirements:
  • English and another UN working language (preferably French).
