COMPETITIVENESS AND INNOVATION DIVISION (IFD/CTI)
CTI Administrative Consultant
TERMS OF REFERENCE
Objective
Support the Competitiveness and Innovation Division (CTI) in the coordination of all administrative and support tasks.
Main Activities
Monitor, oversee and execute Division's budget. Compile and analyze information and prepare reports and presentations as needed. Coordinate logistics for meetings, seminars and events. Produce, edit and review documents. Coordinate the hiring of temporary individuals and consulting firms. Coordinate project assistant workload. Organize and monitor Division Chief's Agenda. Serve as liaison between Division and Front Office. Coordinate training activities for the Division. Monitor division compliance with the Time & Labor deadlines. Coordinate Division staff planning.
The activities mentioned above form the principal duties of the position; however, this does not preclude additional responsibilities, which may become necessary and be approved by the Division Chief.

Contract Length: 18.5 months
Place of Assignment: IDB's Headquarters, Washington, DC
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors or equivalent in areas related to Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or other relevant discipline.
Experience: At least two (2) years of work experience at an international level.
Knowledge of corporate information systems and databases, including Bud-e, Budget Planning, OPUS, Concur, SISCOR, IDB-docs, e-Sourcing, SCCI, IDB-Docs, and Time & Labor.
Knowledge and understanding of IDB's administrative policies and procedures.
Languages: Excellent oral and written command of English and Spanish, and working knowledge of Portuguese.
Coordination
Consultant will work under the supervision of the Competitiveness and Innovation Division Chief.
Payment and Conditions of Employment: If the work will be carried out at Bank headquarters in Washington D.C. Remuneration will be determined in accordance with Bank regulations and criteria. The Bank will additionally contribute toward travel and moving expenses, if applicable. If a candidate is not a citizen or resident of the United States, the Bank will apply for a G-IV visa from the consulate of the United States in the candidate's country of origin. If a candidate cannot obtain a visa to work at the IDB the contractual offer will be rescinded.
Individuals with relatives working for the IDB within and including the fourth degree of consanguinity and the second degree of affinity are not eligible. This includes staff members and consultants. Candidates must be citizens of a member country of the Inter-American Development Bank.
