ActionAid is an international anti-poverty agency working in over 50 countries, taking sides with poor people to end poverty together. ActionAid Myanmar's approach is building capacity among youth and supporting them to work for the community for short and long term development for their own community. One of its main programs is participatory community development (includes livelihood, health, education, DRR etc.); through fellowship for young people to promote development in Myanmar. ActionAid Myanmar has been working in partnership with the local and national NGOs in different states and divisions.

ActinAid Myanmar is looking for suitable candidate to fill the following position:

Position Title: Publications and Visual Communication Officer Location: Yangon and frequent travel to fields

Key Responsibilities:

Visual communication tasks:

• Develop and/or edit quality visual communication materials for targeted audiences to increase understanding of AAM work and results (photos, video, publication layout etc.)
• Document AAM activities through recording and editing high quality photo and video.
• Facilitate workshops, trainings and meetings to improve the skills (photo and video) of 
  colleagues within the organisation and/or partner organisations.
• Assist in production of professional documentary films about AAM.
• Maintain archive of AAM photos and video. 
  Other tasks:

• Strengthen AAM's network with journalists and broadcasting media.
• Promote awareness of AAM programmes among donors, peers and the general public.
• Introduce new or innovative information technologies that can benefit AAM.
• Other tasks as requested by Country Director or Line Manager 
  Qualifications and skills required:

• A relevant degree from a recognised university
• At least one year experience in related field
• Excellent skills in recording and editing photography and video
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• A high degree of initiative and leadership potential
• Ability to work independently as well as in teams
• Ability to work effectively under stress, deadlines and adverse conditions
• Ability to adjust to flexible working hours
• Strong competencies in IT (DTP, web, social media etc.)
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Myanmar
