We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, self-motivated, and service-orientated professional for the position of Projects Coordinator and Liaison Officer for the Global Conservation Agriculture Program. The selected candidate will provide advice and support to GCAP Associate Director and Leader of TTF, and act as an Administration Manager responsible for coordination of and tracking of Director's tasks, strategy and direction.

The position will be based at CIMMYT's Main Campus (located 45 km northeast of Mexico City, Mexico).
Specific responsibilities of this position will include:
- Maintain a 'global view' of the CAP Mexico portfolio, progress, and trajectory.
- Follow up on new project ideas by developing concept notes, proposals, and operating documents as necessary.
- Represent the Associate Director and TTF Leader in various meetings and capacities, including with funders, board members, public officials and other partners both in person and in writing and other means.
- Support the Associate Director and TTF Leader's internal and external communications, both written and spoken.
- Work closely with Associate Director and TTF Leader to identify problem areas and address them through specific actions/initiatives, and provide ad-hoc analysis and decision support to the Associate Director and TTF Leader.
- Disseminate information and communicate ideas on behalf of the Associate Director and TTF Leader.
- Assume leadership internally and externally when delegated by the Associated Director and TTF Leader
- Coordinate activities, set agendas, and summarize deliverables for Project Coordinators. Provide necessary orientation, training and communications to Project Coordinators on behalf of Director.
- Put decisions into action; follow up with Coordinators, collaborators and stakeholders as necessary.
- In close cooperation with the Projects Managers, implement and lead a continuous quality improvement process throughout the program and service areas, focusing on systems/process improvement. Promote regular and continued opportunities for all staff to give feedback on program operations.
- Support the development and execution of an annual operating budget and workplan, ensuring it aligns with strategic priorities and grant obligations. Work closely with the Project Manager to monitor technical and financial progress.
- Perform any other tasks and assignments related to the program/project, as required by the supervisor.
We are seeking candidates with the following qualification, skills and attitudes:
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience/certification(s).
- Additional relevant certificates preferred (Project Management Certification (PMP), etc.).
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a related field, with demonstrated ability to deal with highly confidential information (including at government level) and acting as an Official Liaison with other constituencies, both internal and external.
- Proficient in English, including excellent written / oral communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced internet skills.
- Strong level of cultural sensitivity to understand the needs of all staff and partners.
- High level of responsibility, confidentiality and discretion.
- Ability to work with different nationalities, under pressure and as a member of diverse work team.
