For initial appointments, the Court offers a two-year appointment with the possibility of extension (six monthprobationary period).
A roster of suitable candidates may be established for this post as a result of this selection process for bothfixed-term established and general temporary assistance posts.
Entry on duty date is to be determined.
Duties & Responsibilities
Within the Immediate Office of the Prosecutor and subject to the direct authority of the Prosecutor, theincumbent is responsible for:
- Providing professional, efficient secretarial support to the Prosecutor;
- Providing administrative support to the Prosecutor for the day-to-day organization of her work;
- Managing the agenda of the Prosecutor;
- Preparing and processing the official travel of the Prosecutor, in co-operation with the Travel Unit of theRegistry of the Court;
- Scheduling and co-ordinating meetings and conferences hosted by the Prosecutor, and providing administrativesupport as may be required;
- Ensuring the smooth and constant flow of information between the Prosecutor and her direct subordinates;
- Drafting and typing personal correspondence for the Prosecutor in both working languages of the Court;
- Establishing and maintaining a paper-based and electronic filing system for the Prosecutor; and
- Performing other tasks as may be required by the Prosecutor.
Essential Qualifications
- Completion of secondary education;
- At least 10 years of experience as an executive assistant in the cabinet of a high-ranking international civilservant, minister, diplomatic official or executive officer in the private sector.
- A university degree may besubstituted as 2 years of working experience;
- Training in the administrative field preferred;- Proven secretarial skills, including the ability to operate relevant computer software (especially Microsoft OfficeSuite);
- A good knowledge of general office management policies, procedures and practices;
- Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and meet deadlines;
- Excellent communication, drafting and organisational skills, ability to plan and establish priorities;
- As an additional asset, familiarity with the rules and procedures of diplomatic protocol;

Knowledge of Languages:
- Proficiency in both of the working languages English and French is required.
- Working knowledge of otherofficial languages of the Court (Arabic, Chinese, Russian and Spanish) would be considered as an additionalasset.

The selected candidate will be subject to a Personnel Security Clearance (PSC) process in accordance withICC policy. The PSC process will include but will not be limited to, verification of the information provided inthe personal history form and a criminal record check.
