Job Description
Job Title : IT and Media Coordinator
Responsible to : HR & Admin Manager
Location : Yangon Country Coordination Office
Contract : Full time
Main Purpose of the Job:
1. To ensure that the IT systems are managed efficiently and serving the needs of the Coordination office effectively.
2. To offer IT support and advice to staff members of TLMM (not based in the Coordination office) as and when needed.
3. Responsible for organizing and delivering media related material and web content in order to increase public awareness of TLM Myanmar.
Duties & Key Responsibilities of the Job:
IT Coordination
1.Maintains all hardware and peripherals, resolving IT related issues as they arise.
2. Maintains and enhances stability of PCs and laptops through provision of software updates & upgrades.
3. Monitor IT field offices computer to ensure the systems are working as per standards and procedures.
4. Ensures that a backup system is recommended, in-place and operating securely.
5. Administer the IT network within the Yangon Country Coordination Office and to field based staff (where needed) to ensure effective and secure operations.
6. Maintain network services: file, mail, internet, printer, database, intranet and telephone infrastructure.
7. Implements, updates and reviews network stability and security.
8. Maintains adequate virus protection systems.
9. Consult HR & Admin Manager for additional IT equipment, services and training to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the office.
10. Liaises with independent IT consultants when their advice is required on technical issues and problem solving.
11. Consult with HR & Admin Manager with regards to any major changes to the IT infrastructure in and recommends and advises on the purchase of hardware and software products.
12. Ensures valid IT related licenses are obtained for offices and a record is maintained.
13. Assists in designing / reviewing IT policies and guidelines for the office.
14. Helps staff to understand and implement policies and guidelines e.g. data management, providing training to staff on the use of any new IT program or application.
Media Coordination
1. Collect, maintain and organize a database of project photos and stories from project sites for publicity materials, donors usage and TLM Connect.
2. Update and maintain all information on the TLM Myanmar page on TLM Connect (TLM International's Intranet) regularly.
3. Attend TLM Connect online meetings as and when organized by TLMI.
4. Produce IEC materials for projects
5. Produce photo reports of special events
6. Produce quarterly newsletter of project stories and updates for TLMI partners
7. Act as main point of contact for donors or members of TLMI Global Fellowship looking for publicity materials on TLM Myanmar.
8. Record / film publicity material and convert into web appropriate format, store and organize for future promotional purposes.
9. Use Photoshop or other software to convert media into appropriate formats.
Other Responsibilities
  • Remain informed of current IT and Media technologies.
  • Attend international meetings if assigned.
  • Take on other duties as assigned by the HR and Admin Manager.
IT and Media Coordinator Person Specifications required for the job:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology 3yrs working knowledge and experience in IT management and Media Management.
  • Strong knowledge in all Microsoft products (Word, Outlook, Excel) FileMaker Pro required
  • Knowledge of Photoshop and multiple digital media formats required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal) required.
  • Able to speak English fluently and verbally participate in online meetings
  • A professional attitude and demeanor (tact, sensitivity, and diplomacy) is required.
  • Detail oriented, able to audit work to avoid mistakes, and perform tasks accurately.
  • Ability to think and act quickly under pressure is required.
  • Able to work as part of a team with strong commitment and cooperation.
  • Willing to travel to the field and overseas from time to time.
