Windows 8 has created new opportunities for developers on Microsoft platforms. Now, more than ever, design and user experience are critical to the success of modern applications.
The HTML Design Tools team is a fast-paced, agile group that delivers modern tooling for Windows Store apps built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Our product, Blend for Visual Studio, provides visual construction and layout of HTML elements and controls, enables styling using CSS, and offers an interactive visualization of the user’s application on the design surface. We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated developer to help build the next generation of Rich User Experience design tools for Microsoft’s HTML platform.
Candidates will design and implement features that allow for the creation of rich, well-designed modern applications. You will work closely with partner teams to coordinate tool support for new platform features. This is an opportunity to advance the state of the art for HTML design tools at Microsoft!
On this team you will be expected to be able to work in an agile, iterative environment, have a desire to work closely with the other disciplines in all aspects of the product lifecycle, and be able to successfully engage internal partner platform teams
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience developing software in C# or C++
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience writing apps for WPF, Silverlight, Windows Store or Windows Phone is a plus
- HTML / CSS / JavaScript experience is a plus
