ABOUT THE ROLE:
The International Secretariat of Amnesty International is currently looking to recruit a Procurement and Contracts Assistant. In this role you will assist the Procurement and Contracts Manager to drive best practice in procurement across all parts of the organisation. We aim to obtain the right goods and services, at the right price and at the right time to support with the delivery of our human rights objectives. You will support key procurement processes and ensure that all contracts are reviewed and recorded, while assisting with the minimising of associated legal, commercial and reputational risks. You will support and where appropriate, lead supplier selection processes, negotiating with suppliers to deliver cost savings and improved service delivery. You will establish and maintain a central procurement database to record and store all required contract information as well as work with staff at various levels across the organisation to raise the profile of procurement and promote best practice policies and procedures.
ABOUT YOU:
Along with knowledge of best practice procurement and contract management, you will also have experience of assisting procurement processes across a large organisation. You will have experience of the legal and commercial review of contracts. You will also have experience negotiating with external suppliers. You will display excellent communication skills to a variety of audiences both written and verbal. You will be motivated by the opportunity to drive best practice procurement and value for money in a large internationally recognised human rights charity, allowing maximum resources to be used to promote human rights around the world.
