Join Americas Cloud Services (ACS), a segment of the United States Enterprise Services organization, and be responsible for delivering online, managed services for our customers and partners.
ACS is looking for a Cloud Architect who has a mix of advanced technology and strategic business acumen. This role requires both broad and deep technology knowledge and the ability to architect solutions by mapping common customer business problems to reusable end-to-end technology solutions. Demonstrated ability to engage in senior level technology decision maker discussions related to agility, business value, and end to end information technology and security is also a must. Architects are key enablers for other consultants and partner staff. ACS Architects have a passion for the customer which is demonstrated through professionalism and striving for excellence in all aspects of the customer experience.
The ACS Architects will also be expected to be thought leaders in this space by creating IP, driving awareness around leveraging IP, and leadership in a broad community of experts in this space. The ACS Architect will work very closely with appropriate Solution Architects and Regional Architects to ensure appropriate work is done so customers have a superior onboarding experience to the Microsoft Cloud.
The ACS Architect must apply advanced analysis skills and experience within the Microsoft Online space to define appropriate customer solutions. To be credible, he or she must have current and deep experience with our online services. Understanding of competitive technology enables the architect to properly assess feasibility of migrating customer solutions from, and/or integrating with customer solutions hosted on, non-Microsoft platforms. Advanced domain knowledge in one or more vertical industries is also an asset. ACS Architects are also expected to gain and maintain effective product group relationships.
Expert level knowledge is required to assist customers in architecting, planning, testing and deploying solutions and includes the following:
• 10 or more years of relevant work experience, as defined herein
• A BS/BA degree and/or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience selling consulting engagements which includes estimating, scoping, and writing effective statements of work that clearly set expectations and limit risk.
• Demonstrated excellence at presenting complex development topics to both executive and technical personnel
• An ability to articulate architectural differences between solution methods and the challenges and approaches to integrating solutions built on different platforms including a working knowledge of different architectural frameworks that may be used by our customers.
• Experience with O365 delivery work including:
- Messaging Due Diligence during pre-contract phases
- Detailed Design post contract signature and Technical Quality reviews during migration delivery.
• Exceptional demonstrated consulting skills, including technical selling and customer management
• Large enterprise deployment experience in complex heterogeneous environments
• Ability to transition between high level architectural review/design and the deep level of actually delivering all phases of an application delivery project
Travel is an integral part of this position as are high levels of recognition and visibility. Travel can be as high as 80% as is demanded by the needs of our customers and our business. This position location is flexible and will be within the geographical United States.
