Description

Come join the Information Technology Finance Team as a Finance Manager supporting MS IT business portfolios that drive technology solutions and success across Microsoft. As a finance leader you will coordinate portfolio management activities for your portfolio and those comprising the greater Strategic Enterprise Services team. Your partnership skills will be required to effectively manage and guide financial portfolio process and execution across multiple teams within Finance and IT Business partners.

To be successful, the role requires a mix of strong business process excellence, reporting and analytical skills to provide appropriate business insight and guide financial execution. In addition, the successful candidate will have the ability and confidence to work across teams, understand and communicate complex concepts, bring business insights, drive change in a technology environment and influence results.

As the financial leader of your portfolio the core responsibilities will include:
• Provide leadership to the business with respect to financial management, resource prioritization and allocation.
• Ability to ‘tell the story’, communicate key business drivers, provide insightful analytics in financial reviews with IT and Finance leadership
• Drive annual planning process - target setting, project costing selection & prioritization, budgeting, forecasting, mid-year review.
• Ensure technology investments are aligned to key priorities and recommend opportunities to re-allocate and re-deploy resources. 

As the coordinator of portfolio management activities responsibilities will include:
• Actively communication across finance teams to ensure successful end to end execution of financial projects, processes & planning
• Drive the portfolio management health and reporting processes 
• Drive the execution of this Business Excellence processes across the Finance Team in Strategic Enterprise Services and Information and Security Risk Management portfolios. 


Experience Required:
• 7+ years of financial analysis (including forecasting) and financial accounting experience, preferably in a high tech company. Exposure to Enterprise platforms & SW development a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial issues to non-finance executives.
• Demonstrated aptitude working with financial systems/tools, to develop informative financial models driving excellent quantitative analysis and decision making.
• Detailed oriented & thorough, with the ability to think “big picture” and understand the key trends and levers driving the business
• Must possess stronger accounting skills, and preferably have advanced PC skills using Excel and PowerPoint
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred
