Field Assistant (12 positions) with the Research Group of Water Sanitation and Hygiene under the Centre for Communicable Diseases. (Advertisement #326/13)

icddr,b invites applications from suitable candidates for the position of Field Assistant (12 positions) with theResearch Group of Water Sanitation and Hygiene under the Centre for Communicable Diseases. The appointment will be made on a Contractual Service Agreement (CSA) basis for 6 months, which may be renewable depending on satisfactory performance and availability of funds.

Duty Station – CCD-Field-Sites

Salary – Tk.14,816/-(consolidated) per month inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances. No other benefit is admissible.

Job Profile

• Study logistics, hardware distribution and maintenance: Understand study objectives and guidelines, work with Community Health Providers (CHPs) and Field Research Assistants for hardware and logistics storage, carry hardware to study sites, distribute and maintenance; observe hardware in the household level and reporting Field Research Officers; keep records for hardware and study product; track and maintain temperature log sheet for Lipid-based Nutrient Supplement (LNS) storage at field offices in order to ensure smooth field implementation within set timeline;
• Support field implementation of Wash Benefits study: Support CHPs search, arrange community meeting, support CHPs basic and refresher training, monthly meeting; visit study household as when required, perform administrative tasks at field offices in order to ensure field events as per plan.

Requirements:

Education and Relevant Experience:

• Minimum SSC passed or equivalent; however, education may be relaxed up to Class VIII for those have experiences with icddr,b;
• 1 years of experience research study or program implementation or any other relevant field.

Functional Competencies:

Knowledge of:

• Ethical Guidelines;
• Water, sanitation and Hygiene intervention;
• Waste management requirements;
• Hardware management and distribution to study participants.

• Able to adopt with continuous learning.
