IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR (SUBSTITUTE):
Field Support Service Officer (Hpa-An) : NRC has been present in Myanmar since 2008 and previously assisted the Cyclone Nargis- affected population in Labutta District. Today, NRC's geographic presence is limited primarily to the conflict-affected areas of the Southeast region bordering Thailand. The principal objective of the Myanmar Country Programme is to respond to new displacements by improving the protection situation of IDPs through the delivery of humanitarian assistance as well as contribute to the sustainable resettlement and integration of IDPs and returnees through the delivery of durable shelter and improving access to quality education and livelihoods.

With the Country Office located in Yangon, NRC has field offices in Hpa-An, Myeik, Mawlamyine, and Thandaung Gyi.
NRC, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Action Aid Myanmar (AAM) and Knowledge and Dedication for Nation-building (KDN) have recently won funding under the European Union's Aid to Uprooted People Programme in Myanmar funding mechanism. Our agencies have formed a partnership entitled the South-eastern Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project (SIRP), which will implement a range of activities in 90 targeted villages across three states, for the most marginalised and vulnerable conflict-affected uprooted people and their host communities, to be empowered and have improved access to basic education, primary health care, water and basic sanitation facilities, and to new income sources. JOB PURPOSE
As employee of the Norwegian Refugee Council the Driver shall represent NRC Myanmar in a responsible manner and act according to the organization's Code of Conduct.
- The Driver's main duty is to always ensure safe transportation of NRC personnel and cargo to the requested points of destination.
- The Driver shall strictly follow the traffic rules and speed limits applicable, and shall always drive in a safe, considerate and defensive manner. In case of an accident the driver shall ensure that the steps required by rules and regulations are followed, including filling in the accident report form.
- The Driver is responsible for cleaning and daily maintenance of the vehicle and shall ensure that it is in a safe running condition. He/she is also responsible for checking of oil level, water level, battery, brakes, tires, etc., and that the vehicle is at all times equipped with a first aid kit, a good spare tire and all prescribed tools and equipment. He/she will report promptly and in writing to NRC is some tools are missing.
- The Driver is responsible for performing minor repairs. If major repairs are needed these should be reported to the Field Support Service Officer before making arrangements.

- The driver is responsible for filling the logbook for all trips and to ensure that other drivers that may use the vehicle to do the same.
- When fuelling the vehicle, the tanks should as a rule always be filled completely full, if possible, but as a min. always 75% filled, and the amount of litres tanked should be properly entered in the logbook.
- The Driver shall ensure that all required licenses, insurance cards and vehicle permits are valid and available in the vehicle incl. accident reports. He/she must also ensure that own driving licence and other relevant driving papers are up to date.
- The Driver shall follow the instructions given in the Checklist from the NRC Drivers' Manual.
- The Driver shall fulfil other tasks that may be assigned by the Field Team Leader or Immediate Supervisor.
