Job Description:
The Director Facility Services is responsible for planning and managing the workforce engaged in maintenance and event production. Supervise and maintain the physical plant and building systems including preventative maintenance, repairs and services in order to obtain optimal efficiency. Manages multiple departments including Carpenters, Painters, Laborers, Electricians, and Custodial, as well as the nightly changeover workforce. Manages vendors, contractors, and outside service providers. Ensures that work rules, jurisdictions, codes and policies are maintained. Assists in developing operational and capital budgets. Tracks costs for settlement with internal and external clients. Responsible for all infrastructure related capital projects.
Job Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will facility management experience dealing with multiple events in a time sensitive environment. Experience with local building codes and NFPA required. NHL ice making and maintenance experience a plus. An Engineering degree or experience in electromechanical systems is preferred. Must be able to successfully manage multiple tasks while under tight deadlines and maintain high level of responsiveness to emergencies in a fast paced environment. Will possess strong leadership, communication and time-management skills that promote attention to detail while maximizing operating efficiencies. Will posses significant experience working with a unionized workforce. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
