Our team owns the backbone that powers Office 365 Service Health Infrastructure, and a large scale and highly reliable set of services with over 99.9% availability requirement. We’re responsible for providing a unified O365 tenant specific, timely and transparent service state (current, planned, and past) via multiple delivery channels (Web, API, Notifications etc.).
Your responsibilities include delivering a complete test pipeline from the sandbox environment, staging to production environment, delivering robust scenario automation, scale testing, security testing, and production monitoring automation for your service. You will be working across various Office product groups, online product groups, field and enterprise partners and customers to improve the quality and supportability of our components that make Service Management.
Responsibilities
Partner with PM, Development, Test and other peers to inform design, drive implementation, and ensure a high level of service quality
Prevent and find service anomalies, inform triage decisions, deliver accurate cost estimates, and contribute to the improvement of engineering processes
Work effectively across teams to ensure comprehensive test plans, test tools, and test automation are in place
Connect with our customers, learn from production, and drive for results to ensure world class quality of the features and services
Experience/Requirements:
Excellent design, coding, and debugging skills (preferably in C#)
Excellent analytical problem solving skills
Excellent customer focus and communication skills
2-3 years of experience with online service development and/or testing
Experience with Web Development, SQL Server including T-SQL and Web Services\Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
Passion for customer, product quality and test engineering
Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-group
BA or BS in Computer Science or related discipline preferred.
Candidates must be able to meet customer security screening requirements as indicated for this role. Customer screening requirements may include additional items such as, but not limited to: specialized agency background checks (either national or local) and fingerprinting. All employees hired into roles supporting Cloud Offerings will also be required to pass Microsoft background checks prior to the start of employment and every two years thereafter.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
