The Bing Information Platform design team is looking for a Senior UX Designer to be part of the Geospatial team to drive incubation through to shipping products. This team is responsible for such areas and products as Photosynth, Augmented Reality work and mapping solutions. The ideal candidate will be someone well versed in motion, UX, and user centered design. Self-starters who are driven to collaborate and inspire highly recommended. We are looking for someone attracted to vision work and creating magical solutions in new areas of ambiguity. Design training and graphical sophistication, as well as a great understanding of UI architecture and user flows is a must. A designer who is able to also prototype the design innovations is priceless in this position because of the emphasis on experimentation in the new fields we are exploring.

Scope/Responsibilities.
We are seeking a UX Designer with a deep visual and interaction skills to join our team of producers, user researchers, visual and interaction designers to help us reinvent and shape the future of geospatial, user understanding, visualization, information graphics and search, powered by the cloud, and available across multiple screens. You must have a clear understanding of each facet of the design process - information architecture + interaction design, research + usability, rapid prototyping, visual + motion design, brand integration, and content creation. 

This designer would participate in and help facilitate design brainstorming and work sessions. 
You would need to be able to produce mood boards, storyboards, design briefs, sketch, create motion studies, and other artifacts required to develop and evolve user experience designs. This designer would work with user researchers to coordinate testing efforts, interpret test results, and incorporate results into design efforts. Effectively communicate, defend, and build consensus around visual + motion definition and design direction. You would be creating vision materials as well as designing applications and user interfaces within powerful UX systems

Requirements:
6+ years (post education) related UX design experience in product, company or agency.
BA/BS in design or related field, with significant industry experience. MA/MS in interface, graphic, information design 
a plus, but not required.

Desired Skills:
Visual design, including composition, layout information hierarchy, typography and color.
The ability to solve complex interaction design issues.
Experience and a working understanding of how to apply user research data.
Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
Solid experience working with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Fireworks 
Passion for design and ability to effectively share your point of view and expertise with project team members.
A portfolio demonstrating breadth and creativity and proven experience in telling stories, building UI models, generating 
detailed wire frames, developing comprehensive specifications. 
Prototyping skills, from paper prototyping and motion studies, to interactive prototypes.
