Description

It is a very exciting time for the Information Technology Team at Amnesty International with an ambitious programme of change.  IT has a key role supporting Amnesty international’s mission to conduct research and generate action to prevent and end grave abuses of human rights and to demand justice for those whose rights have been violated. The IT department supports over 600 users in over a dozen offices across the globe and provides systems to communicate with our 3.5 million worldwide members.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
You will be leading and managing the Systems Team and be responsible for the secure and effective operation of all systems used within the International Secretariat. You will lead and manage a team of highly technical professional specialists and have overall responsibility for IT infrastructure and network operations including desktop, servers, networks, virtualization, and storage and have responsibility for Information System Security design and implementation.

ABOUT YOU:

You’ll have significant experience working in an IT Operations Team, leading global enterprise network operations and systems administration encompassing both internal network operations and external web sites. You will have excellent technical skills in Windows and ideally Linux. Your communication skills will be clear, concise and confident, as the role involves regular contact with stakeholders.  You must be able to develop and nurture the team, providing growth opportunities and maintaining team continuous learning.
