Description
STB Cloud Datacenter Management (CDM) is a team that delivers and operates the next generation of cloud management services hosted on Azure. Do you have a passion with online services and excited in making an impact? Our team is looking for a strong IT/Ops Program Manager with an initiative drive for results and expertise in all aspects of a Service Operational Release Cycle.The service engineering team is a key discipline for System Center cloud and data center management with the triad Dev/Test/PM. The team is responsible for planning, design, build, deploy, operate and optimize our next product version in the public/private cloud. These services are to be taken from prototype, CTP, beta to V1.
As a member of this team you will own a combination of Quality Service initiatives. This will encompass Release and Incident Management for all Live Services. You will work closely with Service Senior PM’s and collaborate with Service Engineers to drive service problem management on live site incidents back into the service engineering. There will also be dedicated focus on managing day to day Tier2 operations, coordinating incidents to ensure they are resolved, define process and procedures in building out Troubleshooting Guide repositories and reporting of live site metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with Program Management, to implement short and long term plans for our platform
- Driving activities with high visibility with Live Site Availability
- Driving key reliability measures for our system like SLA and KPIs (Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators)
- Develop project plans and manage them end to end
- Report status, risks, and accomplishments
- Analyze and translate business requirements into clear specifications
- Establish specific goals and commitments for project participants
- Recognize the need to change and adjust project plans accordingly
- Evangelize - Represent the Tier 2 Service Delivery team on technical and service quality.
- Well versed with SCRUM or similar Agile development/implementation methodologies
- Incident and Release Management Expertise
- Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication communications skills and ability to be highly self-directed when required and work closely within a team.
- Must effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks in accordance with high level objectives/projects.
- Represent Daily Live site Triage and Live Site Weekly Service Reviews.
- Able to own/consult and lead all aspects of a service lifecycle
The Ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience with a combination of the following:
- BA/BS in Business or Computer Science or related field
- PMP Certification and SixSigma/Lean data analysis skills
- Experience managing a Hosted Service or Enterprise data center experience required
- Knowledge of networking topologies, protocols and infrastructure architectures
- Microsoft Operations Framework experience preferred
