Background
The OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine is seeking a qualified and motivated person to fill the position of Local Expert to develop information web-based resource on sustainable development and green economy.
This assignment is within the framework of the project 'Enhancing the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade Capacity to Generate the Policy of Transition to Green Economy'
Background information:
In 2013 the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine ('OSCE PCU') together with the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine implements the Project called 'Enhancing the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade Capacity to Generate the Policy of Transition to Green Economy'.
The Rio+20 international conferences on sustainable development that took place in June 2012 gave new impetus to on-going discussions on the need to promote green economies as a means of sustainable development. Development and implementation of green economy development programmes require a knowledge base of green economy research data, country-specific reports, analytical materials, etc.
The OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine (PCU) will assist the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine (MEDT) in developing the web-resource on sustainable development and 'green growth' to enable Ukrainian policy-makers develop sound sustainable development policies.
Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Develop a web-site concept;
  • Based on inputs from the MEDT's focal point, prepare detailed terms of reference;
  • Design the web-site;
  • Propose the web-site's content development strategy;
  • Test the web-site's functionality.
Necessary Qualifications
  • University degree, in the IT/Sciences sphere
  • No less than 3 year of experience in the IT sphere;
  • Knowledge of green economy basic concepts;
  • Practical experience in development of web-sites for local self-government and state institutions;
  • Good analytical skills;
  • Fluency in Ukrainian and Russian. English at the working level will be an advantage.
