Child Protection Assistant Good Neighbors International (GNI) is an international non-governmental, non-profit, humanitarian relief and development organization founded in Republic of Korea in 1991. It currently works in 30 countries in Africa, Southeast Asia, Middle Asia and Central and South America. GNI plans and implements community development projects based on the Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). GNI (Myanmar) is currently seeking motivated, efficient, experienced and dedicated candidate for the Mingalardon Office in Mingalardon Township, Yangon.

Job Specific
Responsibilities and Functions:
- Contribute to the collection and analysis of data on child protection (CP) situation, needs and progress in order to plan and implement appropriate child protection interventions relating to child rights, legal protection of children
- Conduct CP awareness sessions to target beneficiaries
- Collaboration with other CP working groups in capacity building of partners
- Frequent field visits to monitor programme, conduct periodic programme reviews in GNI project areas as well as with other working partners
- Collaborate with other programme staff and assist in the development of all appropriate communication and information strategy to support and advocate for programme development with focus on child rights, legal protection;
- Assist in the preparation of documents relating CP for the programme recommendation, plan Of Action, annual report, etc. with technical inputs and analyzed data
- Perform additional duties as required by the Project Manager
- Deal with the problems that emerge as far as possible, if the issues go beyond own mandate, bring it to the attention of the Project Manager
Requirements/Qualification;
- The Child Protection Assistant at Mingalardon Office of Good Neighbors International (GNI) Myanmar position requires
- Bachelor Degree, equivalent in child care and development field and at least 1 years experience working in development projects.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with relevant oral and written communication skills in English.
- Works independently to conduct the child care and development program of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to develop financial and narrative reports.
- Able to manage volunteers and coordinate with other staff and ability to address conflicts as necessary.
- Able to delegate and monitor the work of others and develop their skills.
- Able to coach and encourage others.
